Nebraska snakes are slithering your way. Once again the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium is hosting 'Snakes of Nebraska' presented by Dennis Ferraro, UNL Associate Professor. View many of Nebraska's 29 snake species. See snake demonstrations and learn about their conservation and ecology.

15th Annual Nebraska Star Party at Merritt Reservoir, near Valentine, NE at the Snake River camp ground. A park entry permit is required.

Labor Day Weekend at Fort Kearny SHP
9/1 9AM – 2PM
Hear the roar, smell the smoke, come to Fort Kearny State Historical Park and see what is happening! The cannon firing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Soldiers camp and living history along with wood carving, knife making and pine needle basket displays and demonstrations. A Park Entry Permit is required.
