The Setting
Situated among 1,000 acres of wooded land and gently rolling hills, Percy Quin treats its guests to a serene setting of natural beauty and a wide variety of outdoor activities. One of the original parks developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Percy Quin was opened in 1939.
Several of the original CCC structures are still in use, including the park’s visitor's center. A star attraction of Percy Quin is Lake Tangipahoa, a 700-acre lake that provides excellent catches of large mouth bass, crappie, red ear, bluegill and catfish.
The lake also lets guests enjoy swimming, water skiing and boating. Fishing boats, canoes and paddleboats are available for rent.
The Facility
The park features 161 camping pads, 22 fully equipped cabin units, a tent camping area and a group camp. The day-use area includes 145 picnic sites, seven picnic pavilions, two playgrounds and two sports fields.
The park even offers miniature golf and an archery course. Quail Hollow Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course. Quail Hollow also features a 9-hole executive course with a large driving range and putting green. For more information please visit: www.mdwfp.com.
