Hike the dunes, visit local tide pools, whale watch or storm watch-all just a short drive from the park.
The Setting
Come camp at the Oregon Dunes KOA, the only private campground on the southern Oregon coast with ATV/ORV access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. You're just 15 minutes by car or 2 miles through the dunes on ATVs to flat beaches. ATV rentals and dunes tours are nearby. The campground store sells unique ATV-related T-shirts, gifts and supplies. Locals will tell you the best time to visit is in the fall. Summer events include kids' activities, hayrides and ice cream socials with 14 toppings. An Easter egg hunt and a Thanksgiving potluck / Christmas decoration competition round out other seasonal activities. Stop by and see two 2008 additions: ATSF caboose 999319 and SP caboose 1179. This KOA will make your vacation a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
June 15 thru Labor Day, kids and adults can enjoy summer activities, and everyone digs into ice cream socials (14 toppings!) nightly. Memorial Day Scavenger hunt, our 3rd annual Easter egg hunt and 9th annual Thanksgiving potluck/Christmas decoration competition are off season activities.
