Capture the wonders of the natural world!
The Setting
Lake D’Arbonne State Park is a photographer’s dream with its tree stands in the lake, towering pines, memorable sunsets, and the stars and moon illuminating the lake. The park has five fishing piers, among them being the 400 foot pier where record catches of bass and crappie have been made.
The Facility
Overnight guests have a choice of 65 improved campsites, 16 cabins, two lodges or a group camp that sleeps 52. Each of the campsites is equipped with electricity and water. The camping area is in the woods near the lake and has its own fishing pier. For those just visiting for the day, the park provides a visitors center, swimming pool and tennis complex, as well as picnic tables and covered pavilions. Playgrounds are located in both the day-use and overnight camping areas. The park is also available to accommodate special events (reunions, weddings, meetings). Comfort stations and bathhouses are located in various parts of the park.
Park Features
Cyclists can enjoy the challenge of the rolling hills and steep inclines. Visit the Louisiana Purchase Gardens located in Monroe. Mossy trees, winding paths, and lagoons surround natural habitats of the animals that live in the zoo. Tours are provided by boat and train.
