Greenbo Lake State Resort Park offers camping in the pristine beauty of the Kentucky hills that inspired author, poet, and educator Jesse Stuart.
The Setting
Campers can enjoy the scenic beauty of the wooded hills of Eastern Kentucky, along with the serene waters of Greenbo Lake. The 225 acre lake has a marina, boat ramp, handicapped accessible fishing pier, and provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and trout. Greenbo Lake has also had two state record largemouth bass taken from its waters.
The Facility
The campground has 58 full hook-up sites with water & electric, 14 of those sites also feature sewer hook-ups and an additional 6 sites are pull thrus with sewer also. There are two central service buildings with showers and rest rooms, laundry facility, two playgrounds, and two dump stations are available for your convenience. Mini Golf is located at the campground entrance. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and there is an additional 35 primitive camping sites and a large overflow camping area.
Camping Tips
The park offers recreational programming such as hayrides & archery, along with special events such as the Greenbo Lake Jr. Fishing Tournament for children ages 15 and under and two Camper Halloween Weekends with Haunted Trail. The Greenbo Amphitheatre offers many cultural arts programs and concerts during spring, summer, and fall. There are over 25 miles of multi use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. (You must provide your own horse)

Besides the campground, Greenbo Lake State Resort Park has the Jesse Stuart Lodge, Conference Center, Gift Shop, and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant.
