The Setting The Facility Twenty-six campsites offer the chance to get close to nature, while a primitive camping area can accommodate up to 20 brave souls who truly want to “rough it.” But Chemin-A-Haut State Park also was designed with children in mind. Two playgrounds in the day-use area are a favorite spot of younger patrons, as is the wading pool in the swimming complex. Several varieties of freshwater species can be found in Big Slough Lake, for both the bankside fishermen and those out in boats. Rental boats are available for visitors. If you’re more interested in a stroll through the woods, there are two walking trails and an 8-mile equestrian trail. Park Features
